“For the pure the fun of it!” is the apt philosophy of the SA BASS Cast-for-Cash Tournament Trail. With the 2008/ 2009 tournament season currently underway, the focus on competitive angling for the new season is making a significant shift towards the grass roots development of bass fishing as a sport and favoured recreational activity. Many an angler enters the world of competitive bass angling only to be disappointed by how elusive bass can be when you really want to catch them, often leaving the first time tournament angler disheartened and unwilling to return.

This year SA Bass is changing things, leveling the playing field even more than it has been in the past, and rewarding anglers for their perseverance, commitment and dedication. In every tournament, anglers will start afresh with no rankings, no points system, with the only distinction between anglers being the number of tournaments they have fished in the series, and this will ultimately decide who is invited to enter the prestigious Champion of Champions tournament at the end of the season.

Cast-For-Cash Tournament Trail:
SA Bass Magazine is the official organiser & patron of the SA Bass Tournament Trail. The Cast-for-Cash Tournament Trail occurs once a month on the last SATURDAY of every month.

PLUS participating Cast-for-Cash teams have the opportunity to win their entry fee back, at every event. Teams are selected by lucky draw - you could be the lucky one!
